Is this something to do with character encoding? Any suggestions on how can I rectify this issue?
It's only when I view the report as PDF through the application running on WAS, Single and Double Quotes copy pasted from MICROSOFT WORD appears as ? Not only that, when I export the report as PDF using Crystal Report XI all the characters displays correctly. On top of that when I preview the report in Crystal Report XI - version 11.0.0.895 (this is what we use to design the reports), all the characters are displayed correctly including the Single and Double Quotes which were copy pasted from MICROSOFT WORD. The single & double quotes typed into the application however have no issues. The issue seems to be only with single and double quotes and that too only when they are copy pasted from MICROSOFT WORD. I am facing an issue where some characters (Single and Double Quotes to be precise) copy pasted from MICROSOFT WORD into the web application running on Websphere Application Server v6.1 is getting displayed as "?" when the report is viewed as PDF.
